The Flanagan Foundation 2nd Annual Jingle and Joy 'Fest A Success

Saturday, December 13, 2025 | 11am - 1pm
Grand Prairie, TX — The Flanagan Foundation proudly hosted its 2nd Annual Jingle & Joy “Fest”, a holiday celebration for children and families facing food insecurity across Dallas and Tarrant counties. The event took place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the foundation’s community pantry located in Grand Prairie,
where 18 families and more than 50 children participated.
Children between the ages of 0 to 12 years old enjoyed an afternoon filled with interactive games, sweet treats, music, and holiday fellowship. Every child received a warm meal, and refreshments including soda and cupcakes — creating moments of laughter, connection, and seasonal joy. Volunteers also led age-appropriate activities that inspired teamwork, creativity, and friendly competition, all while providing a safe space for families to celebrate together.
“Jingle & Joy Fest represents more than toys and treats,” said Mike Flanagan, Founder and Executive Director of The Flanagan Foundation. “It’s a reminder to every child and parent that they are seen, valued, and supported. Because of our community partners and dedicated volunteers, we will continue our mission of Helping Hands. Healing Communities. especially during the holidays when support is needed most.”
This year’s celebration builds on the foundation’s continued commitment to meet neighbors where they are, reduce barriers to seasonal relief, and create dignified experiences
for families who might otherwise go without gifts or holiday connection. As The Flanagan Foundation prepares for 2026 programming and expanded pantry initiatives, it remains focused on building stronger partnerships, expanding access
to resources, and ensuring every child experiences joy and
care during the season.

The Flanagan Foundation Distributes Nearly 100 Turkeys and Thanksgiving Meal Boxes to Families
in Need
Saturday, November 15, 2025 | 10am-12pm
Grand Prairie, TX — The Flanagan Foundation successfully hosted its 2nd Annual Bless ’n Go Thanksgiving Campaign on Saturday, November 21, 2025, providing nearly 100 turkeys and holiday meal boxes to families experiencing food insecurity across Dallas and Tarrant counties. The community-driven event took place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the foundation’s Grand Prairie pantry, welcoming pre-registered households for a seamless, dignified distribution experience.
“We know how important it is to support families during the Thanksgiving holiday,” said Mike Flanagan, Executive Director and President of The Flanagan Foundation. “This effort reflects our mission of Helping Hands. Healing Communities. We are grateful to our volunteers, donors, and agency partners who continue to stand with us as we expand our reach and serve our neighbors with care and compassion.”
As part of participation criteria, neighbors completed an online household registration to receive support, allowing the foundation to track service impact, plan inventory flow, and support equitable distribution across high-need ZIP codes. Families received a full holiday kit including turkey, pantry staples, and seasonal meal resources — helping relieve financial and nutrition strain during the holiday season.
This milestone underscores The Flanagan Foundation’s continued commitment to reducing hunger and supporting community stability through outreach, collaboration, and dignity-driven service. As the organization looks toward 2026, it remains focused on expanding capacity, deepening community partnerships, and delivering essential holiday support to even more North Texas households.

The Flanagan Foundation Partners with Circle of Giving Community Outreach to Feed At Risk Kids Across
North Texas
Monday, June 15, 2025 | For Immediate Release
Grand Prairie, TX — The Flanagan Foundation and Circle of Giving Community Outreach proudly announce a new Youth Meal Service partnership delivering consistent, nutritious support to children in underserved Dallas communities. Through this collaboration, The Flanagan Foundation provided 5,000 pounds of pantry staple foods in June, July, and August 2025 — a collective total of 15,000 pounds — to strengthen Circle of Giving’s summer food program and ensure children receive meals when school is out.
From June 2, 2025, this initiative is actively serving 400–500 at-risk children weekly across Dallas neighborhoods and will continue operating in this capacity through August 8, 2025. Meals are distributed in high-need, low-income communities identified through regional demographic mapping, where many households consist of working-class families living in single-family homes and affordable rental or community housing units. These areas reflect persistent barriers to food access, limited youth resources, and increased demand for supportive nutrition services, reinforcing the critical need for reliable meal programming throughout the summer season.
At Circle of Giving Community Outreach, efforts go beyond food — focusing on holistic well-being for children and families through the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and after-school initiatives. Circle of Giving is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization rooted in compassion, equity, and community strengthening, committed to ensuring no child goes hungry and every family is supported with dignity.
This partnership reflects our shared mission — Helping Hands. Healing Communities. Together, we are feeding children today while building stronger, healthier, and opportunity-rich futures for tomorrow.

“We are incredibly grateful to Dallas Children’s Charities for their support,” said Mike Flanagan, President and Executive Director for The Flanagan Foundation. “This grant and toy donation will allow us to bring smiles to the faces of children who need it most and reinforce our commitment to serving families in need through compassion, dignity, and community-driven solutions.”
Since 1977, Dallas Children’s Charities has provided toys and financial assistance to thousands of at-risk children through its annual Dallas Margarita Ball—now considered the largest invitation-only black-tie charity gala in the world. Each year, the Ball helps serve over 6,800 children throughout the Metroplex.
